About The Workshops
We meet on Tuesdays from 10am-11am at Twinkle Farms (471 Ashland St, Detroit 48215). See map for directions and location details. Taking inspiration from the Tinkgergarten model, we have designed our classes to keep your little one engaged with different activities throughout the entire one hour session. Parents are asked to stick around and participate if desired.
Meet the Founder & Instructor

Hello my name is Megan DeShields! I am a visual artist living and working in Detroit. In 2024, I received my MFA from Wayne State University with a concentration in Sculpture. I have taught for several years in academia and have over 20 years of child care experience including working with children and adults with special needs. I love using my passion for art to inspire others. I have found that children can effectively communicate many of their thoughts and emotions through creating art. I started Wildflower Arts Collective to share my passion for art with the community. I cannot wait to meet your little ones and help facilitate an environment that encourages their imaginations to run wild as they meet new friends and create beautiful works of art! I also have my first aid and CPR certification for infants and children.
